Sheryl Scannell, MS is the Director of Operations of Public Health Informatics Computational and Operations Research (PHICOR), the Artificial Intelligence, Modeling, and Informatics for Nutrition Guidance and Systems (AIMINGS) Center, and the Center for Advanced Technology and Communication in Health (CATCH) at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. Sheryl oversees the PHICOR, AIMINGS, and CATCH research-related activities including project management and program development. She works closely with the different scientific teams including internal and external collaborators. Ms. Scannell is responsible for the day-to-day decisions and activities of PHICOR, AIMINGS, and CATCH, including employment and supervision of personnel, oversight of finances, partner/collaboration, development and communications.

Prior to her work with PHICOR, AIMINGS, and CATCH, Sheryl was the Director of Operations for the Global Obesity Prevention Center (GOPC) at Johns Hopkins where she helped build the first center dedicated to systems approaches to obesity prevention from the ground up. Sheryl has over 15 years of experience with grant and contracts management. Previously, she was the Senior Research Analyst for the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins. Sheryl received her BS in Psychology from Towson University and completed her MS in Clinical Community Counseling at Johns Hopkins University School of Education. After completing her MS degree, she earned her License as a Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in 2009.
