Programmer Analyst
Kavya Velmurugan, BS is a Programming Analyst for Public Health Informatics, Computational, and Operations Research (PHICOR), the Center for Advanced Technology and Communication in Health (CATCH), and Artificial Intelligence, Modeling, and Informatics, for Nutrition Guidance and Systems (AIMINGS) Center at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. Kavya has experience with modeling and simulating systems in various platforms which she uses to design and implement computational models for different projects. This includes work on physical activity, epidemic preparedness and response, vaccinations, and health systems.

Previously, she was a Controls System Engineer at General Control Systems and received her BS in nuclear engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is pursuing a MS in computer science at Georgia Tech.
