PRI Scientific Project Coordinator & Analyst

Danielle John, BS, is a Scientific Coordinator for the NYC Pandemic Response Institute (PRI) at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH) and an Analyst for PHICOR. She helps Dr. Lee, who is also the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for the PRI, coordinate the various CUNY SPH PRI projects and serves as a liaison between PHICOR and the PRI. Her work focuses on bringing more systems approaches and methods to pandemic and other public health crisis preparedness and response.

  • Danielle brings over seven years of national and global experience in public health. Prior to joining the PRI and PHICOR, she was a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Institute of Health Equity Research at Mount Sinai aimed at addressing renal disparities in individuals with African ancestry. Danielle was also a Research Assistant at NYU Shanghai where she collaborated with team members to design a neuroeconomics decision making study.

    Danielle holds a BA in Physiological Psychology and Chinese Language and Literature from CUNY Hunter College and is pursuing an MPH in Community Health at CUNY SPH. She is a New York native and is passionate about health equity and eradicating negative racial stereotypes in healthcare. She is also an avid bicyclist and animal enthusiast.
